(Sorry _why) This is obviously a HUGE change to the library and as a result requires a lot of thorough user testing. The test suite is only so good, and indeed I found a gap (and plugged it) in the test suite.
Don't need prettyprint. Don't need methods which are commented out (and do nothing!)
